Kids room design should be made in different way from the rooms intended for adults. Kids are the ages where you only need to play and feel the happiness. Those matters can be represented from the ideas used in the bedroom interior starting from the wall decoration, furniture, fixture, and accessories. The designs and ideas somehow must be more cheerful with bright colors. So, what are the things to consider once you decide to design the kids’ bedroom? Here they are.
One of the important point how a bedroom can look cheerful is regarding the colors applied. Bright colors are always good for children’s room although they must be balanced with the neutral ones to avoid the feeling of cramped. In other words, using red is not bad as long as there is white or beige to make it look more comfortable to see.
However, the bright colors like red, yellow, and orange are much better if the room is large enough with many windows around. When the bedroom is small enough, pastel colors that tend to be softer are more recommended. Do you feel confused with the color theme will be used? Combine some of them is a good idea for the kids room design after all.
It is a common thing for the kids to have a favorite character. Just see them daily what kinds of cartoon and animation series they may always wait for. If there is any, you can use it for the theme of their bedroom. It is a common thing for boys to love superheroes while the girls love Barbie. However, if the fact, your kids are not like that, you should not force to apply Superheroes characters for boys and Barbie for girls. It is not bad for sure for girls to love Batman but then you can add Wonderwoman or Catwoman there for more feminine look.
Large space is always ideal for kids’ bedroom. Why? They indeed need it more for playing. but how if the space remained for the bedroom is not large enough? Well, it means you must lessen the number of furniture there. For kids under 5 years old or toddler who don’t need desk or bookshelves, it means those kinds of furniture should not be there yet. To let them learn about writing anyway, you can prepare a small desk that can be folded and saved when it is not needed. It also makes the kids room design more comfortable as well.
