We go now from a generous color palette to a monochromatic décor. This bedroom features various shades of the same color: yellow. The designer played with textures and patterns to create a dynamic décor. Everything here seems to match perfectly and the color shades complement each other beautifully.
When you choose the other colors for the décor, think of the black furniture as a base and start from there. The other colors need to complement the black furniture. Choose the color for the walls carefully. It’s usually the color that dictates the rest of the décor but since the base is already decided in this case, you’ll have to start from there. For example, if your furniture is black and you have brown and beige accessories and accent pieces, the walls can be slightly darker shade of beige so that the overall décor is harmonious and the atmosphere is warm.
Not sure about the difference between Baroque and Rococo? In short, Baroque refers to a period spanning from the 17th century until the beginning of the 18th century and is epitomized by Louis the XIVth and Versailles. It is opulent and a heavier style – more “serious.” Rococo is often considered a subset of the Baroque era, sometimes even called late Baroque. It is typically lighter, more feminine and whimsical. Giving a bedroom a touch of Baroque or Rococo is easy to do. Personal preference will drive how much of the look is appropriate for you.
But if you think that having only one color in a room is too boring or too difficult , you should try a nice combination between two colors. The most recommended colors for combinations are black and white with whatever other color you may want. But if you want to have a nice, but still vibrant bedroom that shows sensuality and style you may think of a red and black bedroom .
