Even if you don't have a massive budget, you can still decorate the room that you have chosen very nicely. Choose light, pleasant colours, such as a pale pink for a girl's room, pale blue for a boy, or a neutral lemon or peach if you are hoping to have several children. You can decorate the walls with cute mobiles or brightly coloured wall stickers to provide more of an atmosphere of a child's bedroom.
You can collect pictures to place into cheap picture frames taken from old magazines and family photo albums. You can also photocopy nursery rhyme books for a proper nursery theme to use as baby nursery decoration. To add more onto the nursery wall decor, you can use these same pictures and have them reduced and enlarged, as needed. If you would like your baby's room to have a theme, look for pictures that would fit the theme and coordinate it with your baby's crib bedding and linens.
